Book About is a personalised book aimed at children from 0-5 years old. It’s the perfect tool for children who are learning their place in the world and learning to read. Being such a special and personal children’s product, it also makes a perfect gift for other family members or special friends as it will be a keepsake for life.

Once checked and approved we will print and send your book.
Each customised book is digitally printed in colour. Printed in portrait format and measuring 105mm x 150mm, it is the perfect size for little hands. We print on white, water (slobber) resistant, coated 265gsm card for extra durability. Each book is bound with a clear plastic coil making the pages easy to turn.
The number of pages depends on you and the number of special photographs you want to include, but we can guarantee that each personalised book will be as unique as your little one.
The mini book costs $40 AUD including GST which covers set-up of your customised book, up to 16 pages and standard shipping within Australia.
The midi book costs $50 AUD including GST which covers set-up of your customised book, up to 24 pages and standard shipping within Australia.
The maxi book is for those bigger or extended families. For these books we would need to provide a quote first.
There are a few additional options you can add which will alter the price of the customised book. For example: you can order extra copies at a reduced price or if you would like the book quickly, you can pay additional fees for express delivery time.
The idea is to keep it very simple. Select an image then add the names for that image. Once you have selected and named all your images click the Upload button.
We receive the images and names. If we feel there is a problem with the quality, crop or size we will contact you by phone or email.

After you entered your delivery address you can choose a shipping method. Standard shipping is free within Australia. Express delivery in Australia will cost an additional $8.95. If you would like your book shipped outside of Australia we will need to quote an accurate shipping cost.

International shipping is based on weight. Please email your quantity, sizes and address through to hello@bookabout.com.au and we’ll send back an accurate price.
Don’t forget that every book is personalised and we print each book on demand when you complete and approve your order. Standard production takes approximately 5 working day from proof approval (plus shipping time). However, if you need it urgently, let us know. We also offer an express delivery options.
We’re sorry but because we rely on Australia Post for shipping we cannot control the arrival time of your order. No estimated arrival date is guaranteed.
People use all kinds of spelling variations for names, so it is impossible for us to know if it is a mistake or just different. So please ensure spelling is checked before you complete your order.
If you have made a mistake you have 1 day after the approval of your purchase to communicate with us. After the book has been sent to print we will not be able to make any changes or offer a refund for any user errors. Please contact us.
Due to the made-to-order nature of our products, you cannot return your order, unless the problem is a manufacturing issue.
Images viewed on your devices such as computers and phones are illuminated with a blue backlight. This backlight nullifies some red tones, and can also make photos appear brighter than they will print. Printed photos do not benefit from any backlighting so may appear different to how you see them on your screen.
We cannot offer refunds for orders that are printed true to file. However if a reprint will help your order we are more than happy to help you troubleshoot to ensure that a new order will print better and offer your a discounted price for the re-print.
Ask family and friends to send you a photograph (we prefer vertical/portrait format) for your book.
Reluctance? Stalk family and friends on Facebook for a suitable photograph.
No luck? Scan or take a photo of an old photograph.
Remember: The better the quality of the photo the better the quality of the print. If we feel there is a problem with the quality, crop or size we will contact you by phone or email before we print your book.
What images work well?
We prefer portrait/vertical photos as they allow for maximum use of the space. Ideally the image will focus on the faces making them as clear as possible.
How do I use a physical photo?
A couple of ways – you can get it scanned at 300+ dpi and upload as normal or, take a photo of the photo making sure there is no shadows or glare or, send them to us using registered post and we’ll return them with your book.
